Canvas and Cabernet – Great Combo at Bears Bistro

And it was another night to be bored and watch TV! Until we heard about Canvas and Cabernet.  Angie and Kate were there to welcome us at Bears Bistro along with restaurant owner, Thelma.  And instead of the usual quiz night, it was wine and painting.

We received a picture to follow, canvas, water, paint and paint brushes. I was surprised to see how many people turned up and it was very loud and noisy.

Angela welcomed everyone and Kate took photos and together they showed us how to do the sky of the painting they had shared.  Then the water and the boat. However our row was determined to beat the teacher and soon we all were at different stages.  Loads of laughter and wine and the couple alongside us did their photo together as a collage and won the bottle of wine at the end.

Tania, my sister, did a really nice painting and donated it to our flat. She is very creative, where as me on the other hand, I can write but not draw or paint to save my life. I noticed that many of the artists in the room couldn’t do it either but so what. Its your masterpiece!

Join them for the next one to create your own masterpiece and the price is R350 which includes the A3 canvas, and complimentary bottle of wine.  Email artzi.angi@gmail.com and book your seat.

The Traveller

As a worldwide traveller with an eye for something different, I started Travel Match. This initiative matches the Corporate Buyer or Event co-ordinator/Marketing Manager to not only share experiences with each other during an educational but also opens up a world of different ideas. Venues and activities now have a chance to meet buyers on a social level before getting down to business. I design educationals around fun and intuitive thinking and the Travel Match members love them.
