  • #36houtsinHarties ended last night at La Dolce Vita Guest House on the sweeping hillside of Cosmos overlooking the Hartebeespoort Dam. The views are magnificent and we settled in foe an evening of culinary delight and great company we were joined by another couple celebrating his birthday. Our Italian evening of meatballs, caprise salad followed by rump steak served with polenta and sole with Risotto was filled with fun and laughter. Being cold we couldn't enjoy the view outside but summer days they serve meals on the balcony. The warmth of their hospitality (and a nearby heater) was more than enough to brave the winter chill.   • After yesterday's trip of giving.. Its time to head to Harties! Die Ou Pastorie awaits. Intrepid Traveller Geniene Preston is putting them on the map with 36 Hours on Harties starting this afternoon. Follow us and feel free to give suggestions as we "wander freely as a cloud" around the area....sailing ... safari and more. #36hoursinharties

  • Day 3 - 36 Hours in Jozi. Breakfast in the sky...the view from the breakfast Room could be London Paris or New York and the service and food could be any one of the three. The food is fresh from the farm. From the honeycomb to the oranges which you squeeze yourself. The omelette was a delight to behold and soft and fluffy like the Camembert cheese with berry compote. I swear I'm not leaving here any time soon. #36hoursinjozi

  • @insideoutsidelady has made the most amazing shortbread and chocolate pillows. Order nor R55 for a pack of shortbread in the most decadent flavours including chocolate and R5 pernpillow with mint or Rose..Just like Turkish delight.
